 V.L. Moon

Aspiring writer and mother of two, I enjoy nothing more than losing myself to the rather mad cap workings of my imagination.

Blessed with some of the dearest friends, I have to admit that its through their guidance and perseverance that I am able to write what I feel and enjoy.

An avid book reader and a lover of long dark winter nights tucked up with a rather fruity glass of red and my partner in crime J.T.  Cheyanne, we aspire to conquer the world with our love of Vampire's, angel's and wolves alike. As well as some mighty fine Gods and a deluge of hot Gay romance.

 J.T. Cheyanne

After a lifetime of reading and at the suggestion of friends, I finally put fingers to keys and started writing my own stories. It's been a wildly amazing ride full of tears, exhilaration and plain old hard work. Thankfully, my three beautiful children support my craziness and encourage me to continue something I love. While we both have solo work, Venus and I thrive on the work we do together. What a small world  it is indeed Mr. Disney when a small town girl from Alabama can find and write with a big city girl from England. What a ride it has been and continues to be!

Fleeing the questions and horrific memories in Miami-Dade, Trevor Garrett accepts a deputy position in the small town of Rolling Fork, Mississippi. Plagued by anxiety attacks and an abhorrence to being touched, Trevor rebuffs his best friend’s attempts to set him up. He has no desire for any type of relationship; until the local golden boy strolls into his line of sight at the neighborhood dive…

Logan Andrews just wants to take care of his mama. After years of serving his country in the Army Special Forces, Logan resigns when he learns his mother is suffering from advanced stages of Alzheimer’s disease. A night out with old friends turns heated when the newest deputy in town catches his attention…

When a sexually deviant killer sets his sights on the gay men in the area, Trevor is assigned the case. In a wicked twist, all evidence points to Logan. Can Trevor’s past be repeating itself? In a race against a killer, Trevor struggles to overcome his own insecurities and clear the man whose touch sets him on fire. Will he succeed or will their budding relationship become Collateral Damage?

Betrayed by his peers and slandered as a traitor, Commander Thierry Donovan has nothing left. Locked away and targeted by the very men responsible for his incarceration, Thierry defies the odds and fights for the fundamental right to survive the hell-hole of his imprisonment. With no one to trust, Thierry finds solace in the last place he imagines…

The church is Ryan Flynn’s sanctuary. He craves the solitude and peace he finds in the hallowed halls. His oath to serve God is a calling Ryan has hidden behind all of his adult life; until his past catches up with him in the form of his foster brother, Special Agent Orrin Hunt…

Submerging himself within a world of danger, violence and corruption is the only way Orrin can cope with life. Rejected and tormented by the bitter remorse of unrequited love, Orrin is oblivious to the beauty of what life can offer him. If he’d only open his eyes, and maybe his heart….

Jaydan Callahan’s life is a wreck. Gangs, drugs and violence are a part of his normal day to day routine. For one so young, he’s seen it, been there, done it and gotten more than enough tee shirts as proof. Capable of smelling a cop from a mile away, it comes as no surprise to Jay when the guy he has the hots for is actually working under cover to bring down the town’s notoriously dangerous king pin.

Four men, four lives, each one of them stained by lies, corruption and doubt. Can love show them the path to redemption, or will broken oaths, fear and grief make the crosses they bear too heavy a mantle to carry.

                                                                                           Love is Love

Dylan Matthews lives in a world of fantasy. As a video game designer, there are no limits on how far or wide his imagination could stretch. He loves his work and excels at bringing the visions in his head to a game console. The luck of his Irish heritage seems to touch him when his prototype Zombie ApoXalypse is bought days after he inherits a mansion in the heart of the Appalachian mountains. Life is indeed magical.

Ansleigh has waited centuries for one man, only to find him and then lose him due to his own inability to trust in their burgeoning love. The magick of Mother Earth flows within him and through him allowing him to nourish the Grotto where he makes his home. Yet, he yearns for the male that nurtures his soul. When the whims of Fate bring his Cosantoir back into his life, does he have the courage to accept his heritage?

As the fantasies in his head become reality and the monsters of nightmares crawl through the forest, can Dylan forgive broken promises to protect the Croi? There is no pause button when the Fae and human worlds collide. Will Dylan have what it takes to master the maze and win Ansleigh's freedom?

Not everything in Heaven is as holy as it seems... In Crimson Ties, the second installment of the Crimson Nights Saga, Laziel is nowhere to be found, and with the ferocity of Malachi Denali's vampiric temperament growing out of control, Rome's Vatican enclave and those that dwell there risk everything to keep their King’s throne out of Darklon De Sangue’s treacherous hands. As Darklon's mental state deteriorates, his treasonous plans to overthrow Malachi know no bounds. With Arial dancing upon a deadly double-edged sword and working to gain Darklon's trust, this continuing saga keeps everyone on tenterhooks as new treaties are strengthened and friendships are forged by oaths and blood. Will Laziel return in time to save Malachi from those that threaten the male he loves, or will the fury of Malachi's distain for emotion see Laziel ascend if he refuses to accept the hand that destiny has dealt him and the gift of his angel's love? With emotions running high, and Malachi's past turning up to haunt them both in the form of the mysterious Vischeral Bourne, the twists and turns may prove too much for Laziel and his vampire. While Malachi and Laziel struggle with fate, an alliance with the wolves and the secrets behind the Nephilim and their sadistic Queen threaten to rock the very foundations of the supernatural world. Who knows what ties will bind and which will fade away. With a high element of supernatural romance and erotic sexcapades between male lovers, Crimson Ties may not be to some people’s taste, but for those brave enough to step into the wicked world of Laz and Lachi, we hope that you will read and thoroughly enjoy… Crimson Ties, The Crimson Nights Saga

A super sexy powerful Vamp King and an amazing and equally sexy and powerful Angel sounded right up my alley. I was ready to be sucked into a good, solid paranormal series, and I was definitely not disappointed with this one.

It starts out with quite a bit of world building and back story. Lachi and Laziel have already been together for quite some time at this point in the story. I was just about the point where I was ready for it to move past all of that when it took the turn from explaining the story to the story currently taking place. Once this happens, I really got a sense of the relationship between Lach and Laz. It really is quite intricate, but suffice to say, they are smoking hot together. They each are willing and able to meet the needs and give the other much needed comfort. There is so much more to their relationship and feelings that it is difficult to express it in a few short sentences.

While there is quite a heavy BDSM element, I didn't find any of the scenes very difficult or involved. While you are not left in doubt about what is taking place and the scenes are quite intense, they somehow managed to keep things at such a level that I believe even a somewhat BDSM-shy individual could not only handle but really enjoy.

There is one aspect that was quite unique and one I thought was extremely well done. Laziel is both male and female (Lorenza or Loz), in that he can be one form or the other, though the male is his preferred form (and Lachi's as well). I won't say too much about this other than to say that I loved how it was done and how it was easy to follow who was present at any given time.

There is a lot going on here, with Lachi trying to hold onto his throne. There are bad vamps, Fallen Angels and werewolves, oh my! There is even a hot threesome with two vamps and a were (one vamp is female). Sadly, this ends on a bit of a cliffy and I was really not ready for it to end. I'm really looking forward to more and hope I don't have to wait too long to get it.
#1 Best Seller! Love Life & Circumstance

Rich and emotional journey of discovery for two very different men

*Sniffs* *Wipes tears from cheeks* I love a story that makes me feel so emotional I have a constant lump in my throat. I also love a story that makes me feel as if I have to be there with the characters, wrapping my arms around them and telling them everything will be all right.

The story of Elijah Deacon, son from a religious family, and Seth Jacobs, a paralegal had me riveted to my seat. From the dreadful tragic circumstances that bought the two together and left them with a little legacy that needed them both, to the conflict and turmoil they suffer and the problems that they face, this is a tale of forgiveness, betrayal, love, desperation and sheer raw passion that will turn your insides outside and leave you with tears on your face and a goofy smile when everything works out for the best.

Beautifully written, with characters that leap off the page into your heart, Love Life and Circumstances is a triumph from authors J T Cheyanne and V L Moon.

I heartily recommend this book to everyone who loves a well drawn and emotional tale and wants to find out just what destiny finally has in store for two men who go through so much heartbreak.

Really good story! It was captivating, interesting, and very entertaining. If you are looking for a paranormal story with a twist this is your book!

This story is about a man named Tyrian, who was born as a half-breed. He was born from vampire and angelic purity but can't seem to find his place in the world. Abandoned as an infant he was saved when a caring woman named Daira takes him as her own. Daira takes Tyrian to a valley that is hidden by humans in order to protect him, but is Tyrian truly safe? With a twist of fate Tyrian finds himself being given a guardian named Jaral who is bound to watch and protect him. But as the bond between Tyrian and Jaral increases, Jaral finds himself conflicted between what his heart wants and what his head is telling him. But when two vampires approach their safe haven, Jaral and Tyrian will have to acknowledge their love for each other and find their peace. Will Jaral and Tyrian finally admit to each other their love? Will Tyrian ever find a place where he belongs?

I really enjoyed reading this book. I read it in two short hours and was entertained the whole time. The author's writing was lovely to read; it flowed off your tongue and was written beautifully. I loved the characters Jaral and Tyrian a lot because they were both fun to read about. Jaral was a great character being both loyal and caring. He was an amazing character to read about especially when he was standing up for what he believed in, it was truly inspiring. And let's not forget Tyrian. He was a fantastic character that made the story so unique and different. His wings and lust for blood made him an interesting character to read about. I loved the creatures I read about in this book and learning about the valley and the mist. All in all I really enjoyed this book and can't wait to read more from the author!

Favorite parts in the book:

"It was a world apart from the intolerance and blighted ignorance of mortal man.
It was home..."

"She fought, holding fast to every waking breath, so as to teach him of his nature and guide him through the boundaries of love, loss and life"

"He'd been born to fight, but not just any fight. This would be a battle between good and evil, darkness and light."

Grand Slam......#1 Best Seller!

Steamy, Sexy, and RealJuly 4, 2013
This review is from: Grand Slam (Kindle Edition)
Of course another wonderful read that Denise recommended to me!

Grand Slam was wonderful. It's a story about a straight laced gay CPA, Brock, who adores his niece and nephew and focuses his life mainly on them and his job. He doesn't date. Not after his 2 year relationship to his ex boyfriend ended in a disaster. He was called boring and maybe he was but he was okay about that.

Spencer Hightower has a dream of playing major league baseball and after not getting picked up after college is settles for playing AAA ball and working nights to help cover his expenses. He loves the game of baseball and typically everything comes after baseball including his private life. Not having the time or energy to commitment to man he decides to fill his lonely nights with a man here and a man there.

After Brock's nephew Corey catches the homerun hit off the bat of none other than Spencer Hightower, the two meet and the chemistry was instant. The sparks going flying when they touch flesh to flesh their worlds change and everything that Spencer thought was important quickly begins to fade into the background.

JT Cheyenne pulled me in and held me tight throughout the entire read. Yes Brock and Spencer are gay and yes Brock's niece and nephew are well aware of that. I loved how JT pulled the children into this book. Children are innocent and hold no prejudices. They love their Unca Brock and only want to see him happy and they have a feeling Spencer will be the one to make him happy.

Anna Kate and Corey bring so much fun and humor to this story and it was a breath of fresh air.

"Unca Brock likes boys." She looked especially at Spencer, her little eyes wide and spaghetti sauce decorating her cheeks.

Beside him, Brock chocked on his bread and grabbed his drink.

"Anna Kate!"

The little girl turned those same wide eyes on her mother. "What mommy? Corey said Spencer likes boys and Unca Brock likes boys. They could play together."

Oh the innocence of children is precious.

Spencer is sexy and strong and very open about his sexuality and he isn't afraid to let Brock know exactly what he wants, how he wants it, and when he wants. He is sweet and kind and never expects to fall head over heels for Brock because he doesn't do commitment his main focus is baseball and surely his focus can't switch to Brock.

Brock is such a wonderful character to read about. He loves his niece and nephew and sister. He is openly gay and only wants to find someone to spend his life with. He doesn't do the one night thing, he likes commitment. He likes the stability of being able to come home to someone who loves him and someone he loves. He wants his own family someday and after meeting Spencer he tells himself he will enjoy him until it's over because surely it won't be forever. But he wants forever with Spencer so much he can taste it and his niece and nephew see it.

"Unca Spencer and Unca Brock sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G. First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes Unca Spencer with a baby carriage."

There is hot steamy scenes that will leave your heart beating just a tad bit faster. Have you palms sweaty and clinching your thighs tightly.

--His lover licked him like a lollipop, base to tip over and over, not one millimeter of skin left untouched. - Grand Slam

There was humor, oh dear god, the kids brought so much humor to this story - I knew just about every time they opened their mouths I would giggle. Children and so innocent and the things that popped out of their mouth were priceless.

Not everyone views sexuality the same way Denise, Spencer, and Brock do. Some people have so much hate and judgment inside them that they are pure evil. What happens when Spencer and Brocks path crosses path with evil. JT Cheyenne took real life situations that happen every day around the world and put it into Grand Slam. People are evil, mean, and judge and sadly that will probably never change. Parts that happened in Grand Slam had me fuming and my heart breaking for Brock and tears pricking my eyelids.

When Spencer's baseball career takes a drastic turn but that same turn meets with evil and hatred will Spencer choose Brock or will he stick with his first love, Baseball, and break Brock's heart? Will Brock and Spencer find their way and their hearts back to each other?

JT Cheyenne brings us a beautiful story about love, plain a simple. It's about one person loving another person regardless of their gender. It's real and it's beautiful. There is humor, steam, pain, anger, compassion, love, and promise in this book and I am so happy I was able to read it. Great work!

"I want you to stay. I just can't believe you actually want to."
